These guys have worked pretty hard to evangelize their brand of “alt-country noise pop” over many states, yet they are based in Lafayette LA. They’ve even gotten love from the southeastern US based weekly, Creative Loafing. Philippe Billeaudeaux (guitarist, The Amazing Nuns) would tell me how much he liked them before most people knew who they were. Their 2007 Indie-Pen-Dance performance was a fine introduction (complete with a cover of Del Shannon’s “Runaway”), the 2008 performance showed their rightful place as headliners.
