“I Am King Shit of Fuck Mountain”
Those of you who are fans of the legendary sketch comedy show, Mr. Show, could recognize that line from the script of the “Swear To God, with Winton Dupree” sketch performed by Bob Odenkirk. The Dupree character is an angry preacher who is so pissed off at the devil, that he is constantly cussing him out. At a Touchless Automatic show in June 2009, bassist Mike Boyne walks into Caffe Cottage wearing a cap that says “I Am King Shit of Fuck Mountain”. Thus interviewing this band was a joy, it’s nice to know that someone likes that “Winton Dupree” sketch as much as I do.
This instrumental heavy rock band is big on rehearsing constantly, which shows in how strong they are in a live setting. They are from the Patterson/Morgan City area, but they play in this area so much, it’s as if they are a Lafayette area band by default.
